TORMENT OF HEARTS

Choreographer Femke Gyselinck is making a new dance piece called Torment of Hearts. It bundles music around ‘different manifestations of loneliness’. JS Bach’s dialogue cantata Liebster Jesu, mein Verlangen (1726), An die Einsamkeit (1717) by his contemporary Johann Philipp Krieger and Ich bin der Welt abhanden gekommen (1901) from Gustav Mahler’s Rückert-Lieder. Next to that, I wrote a composition for 7-piece ensemble B-Rock that will be performed as part of the piece.
SCHNTZL IMMERSIVE

14th of september 2024, Casper and me will showcase new music from our unreleased next album (to be released in the fall of 2025). This will be a special concert in Wintercircus Gent with an immersive audio system: the music will be mixed in a kind of 360° / surround setting with sound coming from up, down, front, back, left, right,…
This concert is happening within the framework of the European Jazz Conference, and would not be possible without the help of the wonderful programming wizard Tom Wollaert from PXL music.
